Pick n Pay (PnP) Namibia – a subsidiary of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group – on Wednesday, 14 November 2018 officially launched its ‘new look’ store in Swakopmund. As one of the first stores opened by the retailer in the country, PnP Swakopmund was just renovated and refreshed to enhance the shopping experience for its customers.

Currently employing 80 Namibians, the revamp of PnP Swakopmund, according to PnP Namibia Managing Director, Norbert Wurm, was inspired by PnP’s commitment to creating amazing customer experiences and enduring impact in the retail sector. He added that revamping the store to new generation standard is for the benefit of the PnP customers in Swakopmund – which elevates the quality of products and services offered. Wurm: “Regardless of the current challenging economic times that affects each and every one of us as individuals and business Namibia, PnP Namibia will continue to invest in uplifting shopping experiences in the country, and through this aim to contribute to continued economic growth in the country. An incredible amount of work has gone into renovating the Swakopmund store. It is thus with pride that we present the New Generation PnP Swakopmund store, where we created a modern, friendly environment committed to serving our customers with passion. Our customers love the new layout, the space, as well as the innovation in products and packaging, and when they walk into the store they feel welcomed by the friendly staff in the new ambient and fresh look and feel, making their shopping experience even more enjoyable. I am excited to also extend a special invitation and welcome our senior citizens who can now look forward to and enjoy a special 5% discount on their purchases every Wednesday. This is Pick n Pay’s way of saying “we value you and thank you for your continued support.”

In his address at the launch, PnP Erongo Regional Manager, Johan Botha placed emphasis on the importance of realizing that the success of a business requires a concerted effort by all stakeholders.
